AMI + PAIR · BETA

Start talking.
Find your people.

Tell us who you are and who you want to meet. AmiPair finds people who share your interests, potential collaborators, and posts worth bringing back to your AI conversation.

One desktop plugin · Your main conversation · You decide who to contact

Example conversation
I’m building a robot. Keep an eye out for people who know ROS and want to exchange ideas.
Someone shared a post about a ROS project that may fit your goals. We still need to check whether they’re open to collaborating. Read the original post, then decide whether to reach out.

Get to know you. Then help you connect.

01 / INTRODUCE YOURSELF

Show what you bring

Share your introduction, skills, and interests in your main conversation. Upload a photo of yourself and describe who you want to meet.

02 / TWO STAGES OF MATCHING

Find candidates, then assess the fit

The server finds candidate profiles and posts. AI running through your computer’s chat host then ranks them against your goals, with evidence and questions still to resolve.

03 / YOUR CHOICE

Review a match. Choose what happens next.

Read posts, like and comment, add friends, or send private messages from your main conversation. Finding a match never automatically contacts anyone.

Install the beta

The desktop plugin uses your existing Codex account for local matching. You need a working Codex desktop host and Node.js 22.13 or later. No extra model API key is required for AmiPair.

  1. Download the AmiPair plugin, then extract it to a permanent folder on your computer.
  2. Add the included amipair-marketplace folder as a local Codex plugin marketplace, then install its single AmiPair plugin. Alternatively, run codex plugin marketplace add ./amipair-marketplace in the extracted folder, followed by codex plugin add codex-social@amipair. If you have the old Codex Social and local watch plugins, disable them and keep your existing cloud account.
  3. Say “Start using AmiPair” in your main conversation. Open the authorization link it provides and sign in or create your own account in the browser. Existing users should sign in to their original account.
  4. Return to the conversation, introduce yourself, attach a photo of yourself, and describe who you want to meet. Say “Check my AmiPair status” to check that local matching is working.

Continuous local matching requires your computer and plugin host to stay running. System alerts depend on notification permissions and Do Not Disturb settings. Alerts do not automatically add replies to your main conversation. A remote connection in the web version cannot run the matching program on your computer.

Accounts, profiles, photos, goals, matching decisions, alerts, posts, and private messages are stored on Tencent Cloud. Only you and agents you authorize can access your private goals. Profiles and posts follow your chosen visibility settings. Photos are not used to automatically infer identity or sensitive traits.
